Meet Lianne!

Lianne completed her massage therapy, Reiki attunement and breathwork training at the Healing Arts Center of St. Louis. Her compassionate manner provides an environment where clients feel safe, respected and empowered.

From her educational background in Human Services Counseling, Lianne carries a trauma-informed sensitivity and the ability to hold clients in a state of unconditional positive regard along the healing journey.

A hug for your nervous system

Specializing in massage that soothes the nervous system first, then addressing deeper layers of the tissues, Lianne’s clients have described their massage session as feeling like “an energetic hug”.

What is breathwork?

Of course we breathe every day, yet often we are unaware of our restricted breathing patterns. Restricted breathing is a result of suppressed expression that our bodies hold on to.

In breathwork sessions, clients learn to use their full respiratory system, which allows the client to first release suppressed material, then attune themselves to their desired beliefs about life.

Benefits of breathwork:

Breathwork helps physically. Proper oxygenation of the cells allows the body to return to its balanced state. Wellness starts with a harmonized body.

Breathwork leads to self-awareness and personal growth. As clients implement the pattern of the full breath, unwanted emotional and mental patterns are identified and transformed into healthy ones.

On the spiritual level, breathwork participants may enjoy what Dr. Stanislav Grof calls non-ordinary states of consciousness, or an exploration of the deep layers of the psyche.

The results of the session depend on the client’s intention and goals. Come to the session in comfortable clothing and with an open mind!

What to expect for your breathwork session:

In your breathwork session, Lianne gently guides you through a pattern of deep abdominal breathing to decrease stress hormones, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, enhance vagal tone, as well as uncover, release and resolve emotional and mental patterns.

One of my clients describing their experience: “Reconnect with your entire body. Integrate your body with your mind. Ground your whole being in the present. Sometimes the process of life leaves emotional, physical, or spiritual scars which we simply work around and tolerate. Breathwork is a mode of healing in which the practitioner will lead the client in guided sessions to reignite and foster full, deep, connected breathing. The process brings the dedicated individual to a state of rejuvenation where balance is restored, the natural state of life—the breath—flows freely. The body knows the mind, and every cell is awake and present for life.”
